One of the most satisfying jobs to work on here at sassind are our campaign shoots. It's a culmination of months of planning, the back and forth of samples that are tried and tested, the scouting of locations and of course, working with a great team that always brings our creative vision to life.
Campaign shoots are neither glamorous or easy. They are long days, easily disrupted by weather and usually marred by one or two 'forgotten' pieces of stock! But with five campaigns under our belt, working on winter 2019 was an absolute dream. The team that we have been working with over the past three years has gotten to know our brand so well that working together to capture the look and feel of sassind is becoming second nature.
Location: Lon retreat, Point Lonsdale
After shooting our previous campaign in Bali, we knew this shoot would have to have a pretty fantastic location... and that was when we heard of Lon Retreat. Situated across over 200 acres of rural and conservation land and hidden away on a hill by the ocean, Lon Retreat features seven luxurious suites, a Mineral Spa and is so gorgeously styled in what is described as 'earthy tones with contemporary luxury'.
With a collection that features greens, blues, charcoal and grey marle, Lon retreat worked perfectly as our backdrop. It's proximity to the beach and local wetlands provided a natural backdrop for a collection made for travellers. It's subtly styled interiors are luxurious and inviting, warm indulgent - much like the cashmere from the winter 2019 collection.
We want you to experience the full business that is sassind, to know where the products come from - to know who is making your clothes + to know who is photographing your clothes. Involving you in our processes so you know that we are passionate about our brand and work hard to keep it to a standard we are proud of.
There are many Barcelonas. There’s the catch-all Las Ramblas with its flower sellers and scammers, its sex museum and world-class opera. Arrayed along its western shore El Raval has a glorious temple to modern art rising above streets that are in places gentrifying...
