Our 2021 Merino shipment was developed, finalized, and ordered in February last year, due for delivery at the end of May 2020. We all know what happened next. By April last year our factory in Punjab, India was in lockdown, and when their workers were able to return to work we were well and truly into Winter and it was not feasible to commence production. To say that we are excited by our latest arrivals is an understatement. This is our first winter drop in 2 years. Because we do not go on sale each season to clear stock, we were in the fortunate position of holding enough stock from previous collections to fulfill orders over the winter 2020 period. This is a testament to our philosophy of not following trends, and creating versatile classic collections designed to mix and match together for many years to come.
With the exception of a couple of tweaks on the collection we duplicated our order from 2020. We played with the colours to ensure they mixed well with our Summer 2021 collection, so that we could continue to help you build your capsule wardrobes. Again I must praise Sanjay, our Indian agent, and our factory owners Ayush and Devanjali for pulling this all together without any physical visits and contribution from our team. In normal times we would have visited their factories 3 times to develop and finalize a collection, but we of course had to rely on email and video calls to finalize all details. We were forced to place an enormous amount of trust in Sanjay, Ayush, and Devanjali and it paid off. We are beyond thrilled with what they have produced for us. Winter 2021 was worth the wait.

Once our product was finally received it was again a juggle and a race with time to get product photographed and loaded onto the website. Melbournes and regional Victorias different lockdowns meant we had a very narrow window to coordinate all the parties needed to organize a campaign shoot. This is the case even in normal times because everyone needs to be available at the same time: photographer, model, hair & makeup artist, assistants, and finding an available studio space. Despite many last minute hurdles, we did it. A big shout out to Danni McDowell, our friend and Hair & Makeup artist who hooked us up at the very last minute with regional photographer Mel Lau and talent Cecily Chun to pull off one of our best campaign shoots to date. Phew!
