What's in a name?
My emotions toward our lack of ability to travel this year have been varied. In the first Covid lockdown, I welcomed putting on the brakes and the calm that came with knowing we didn't 'have' to be anywhere for at least a month or two. When Melbourne's second lockdown was announced, I realised what a massive part of my life travel has become and how much I was missing it.
For me any sort of travel never fails to kick-start new ideas, drive creative inspiration, and on returning always has me looking at home with a fresh appreciation. In recent years, I have taken my frequent travel to India to visit our factories for granted. Now that it has almost been a year since my last visit, I realise how much I've grown to love spending time there. I have also spent a lot of time reflecting on past travels, and places we wish to add to our bucket list. I am more motivated than ever to make time for family travel, as I realise what part frequent travel has played in shaping the way I approach life.

It is for the above reasons that as we were finalising our Spring Summer 2020 collections, inspiration struck and I decided to put my wanderlust to good use and to apply travel destination names to each new style we had designed.
The first style to be named was easy. Our Jaipur Linen Wrap Around Pants. I spent an amazing 4 days in Jaipur 3 years ago, and this was where I met our agent Sanjay. Sanjay has done an incredible job for us this year, and any reference to Jaipur always reminds me of him. The second style to be named was the New York Linen Culotte. Classic, sophisticated, and stylish, the name seemed apt. And on it went. Continue to dream where you can travel soon all!
